The majority of our community in Melbourne City comes from different places and with different backgrounds.  With the improvement and advancement in information technology and transportation in the last thirty years, the world has now become a big village.  The number of cities increases rapidly.  Nearly half of the populations move into the metropolitan area.  The efficiency in information technology, over-crowdedness, high transit of residents, increasing number of tourists and overseas students are all factors contributing to the complexity and breadth of the church ministries. 

Brothers and sisters in the Gospel Hall need to pay attention to these characteristics of our local needs so that we can lay out our strategies to manage the church and the out-reach ministries.  "For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing" (2 Corinthians 2:15).  As our Church is situated at the heart of the city centre, it is God’s blessings that we can respond appropriately to the changes in our society under His guidance.  

In the year of 2007, our church has established the first city Christian Bookshop called Gospel Point in the Chinatown. We offer services like borrowing and selling books and audiovisual material for our church members and local community. Materials are free to use at our church or borrow with membership card. It is free to join the membership.

At Gospel Point, we also have other activities where people can have a rest and relax to pass time while waiting to work in the restaurants or for the next appointment in the city.
